Bottomline Technologies Introduces Voice Capabilities for ePayments

Bottomline Technologies, the cloud-based business payment, invoice, and digital banking solution provider headquartered in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, has recently announced a Paymode-X ePayments mobile application with voice-assistant technology. The new voice-enabled Paymode-X app, which is an extension of Bottomline’s Paymode-X B2B electronic payment network, should provide businesses with more details regarding their electronic payments. Users can inquire about ePayments that have been received or are in process. The new Paymode-X app should be available for Bottomline customers later this summer.

Cvent Acquires Events Platform Provider, Kapow

Cvent, a provider of cloud-based meetings, events, and hospitality technology, and with headquarters in Tyson’s Corner, Virginia, recently announced the acquisition of Kapow, a Chicago-based meetings and events online platform provider. Kapow currently offers more than 10,000 special event venues and experiences that companies can book directly through its website. For Cvent, this acquisition will enhance its ability deliver live events. Cvent plans to invest in Kapow, which for now will continue operating under its own name, and look to expand into more cities. Since Cvent operates in a much larger market, this acquisition should open up more business for the venues currently partnering with Kapow. No financial terms were disclosed. This news follows Cvent’s acquisition of mobile event app provider, QuickMobile, back in May (which we wrote about here).

Noventis Partners With HighRadius on Straight-Through Processing Virtual Card Payments

B2B payments provider, Noventis Inc., has recently announced a new partnership with HighRadius to bring a straight-through processing solution for virtual card payments to the Noventis supplier network. HighRadius, which is headquartered in Houston, Texas, will help power the new solution, through its radiusOne B2B payment network of buyers and sellers. The solution will automate the processing of virtual cards, and the associated reconciliation to open invoices. It should streamline the payments process for suppliers on the Noventis network.

Comdata Enhances Mobile Payment Platform for Trucking Industry

Comdata, the B2B payments provider and a subsidiary of FLEETCOR Technologies, has recently announced that businesses within the trucking industry will be able to register for Comchek Mobile, its digital payments application. Comdata, which is headquartered in Brentwood, Tennessee, will provide businesses the opportunity to take advantage of its platform and digitize payments for things like settlement, driver advances, repairs, and many other common over-the-road needs. Businesses can use a Comchek Mobile debit-card tied to either an IOS- or Android-enabled smartphone app to send or receive funds instantly from others within the network.
