Bottomline Technologies Announces New Applications to Paymode-X Platform

Bottomline Technologies (NASDAQ: EPAY), the cloud-based business payment, invoice, and digital banking solution provider, recently announced the release of a new set of application programming interfaces (APIs) to enable better connectivity for clients in the company’s Paymode-X platform. The new APIs will allow for more flexible access to the Paymode-X member network, and the B2B payment processing capabilities that are integrated within. These include card, ACH, check, and wire payments. Banks will be able to deliver the payments technology to clients within the context of their existing platforms, which should allow for greater control over the user experience.

Elemica Announces New “QuickLink” Email Solutions

Elemica, a supply chain business network solution provider, has recently announced new solutions that will provide automated Purchase Order (PO), invoice, and shipment confirmations, via email. The two “Elemica QuickLink” email solutions will connect and automate the buying and shipping processes for clients and their suppliers. “QuickLink Email P2P” enables buyers and suppliers to automatically send and confirm their POs and invoices. The second solution, “QuickLink Email Logistics”, allows for shippers to confirm shipments with logistics service providers. Supply chain partners will now be fully integrated into the Elemica client’s ERP system. The new email solutions should provide suppliers and logistics providers with an alternative way to join the Elemica Digital Supply Network.

Finexio Partners with RedTeam on Commercial Payment System

B2B payments provider, Finexio, has recently announced a new partnership with RedTeam, a cloud-based project management and accounting software provider for commercial construction companies. The two firms are collaborating on a new solution that will electronically distribute payments to subcontractors and vendors. The new product will help mitigate the risk associated with large-scale construction projects that typically have a large number of outbound payments, and have the potential for lien and bond claims. The new product will integrate Finexio’s electronic payment capabilities directly into the RedTeam platform. This should alleviate manual payments that are delivered without lienholder approval.

HSBC Will Offer PayPal Option for Corporate Clients

HSBC becomes the latest bank to add a PayPal option to its global disbursement service for corporate customers. HSBC already has a robust disbursements business that allows customers to reach beneficiaries in 136 currencies, while also allowing for payments to be tracked online. The addition of PayPal will expand the payments network accessible to HSBC clients, and allow them to send payments to suppliers who prefer to do business through PayPal. PayPal has been building out its relationships with the big banks over the last year, finalizing agreements across the full spectrum of payment channels with banks such as Bank of America, Citi, and JPMorgan Chase.
